Yiqing- Asia Coordinator
A passionate Waldorf enthusiast, currently residing and working in Shanghai, China, with extensive experience in Waldorf activities. Notably, he is dedicated to organizing and overseeing the operations of a Waldorf school and a community that caters to the needs of children with diverse abilities. His commitment to providing an inclusive environment for children to flourish is a testament to his unwavering dedication to the Waldorf philosophy.
Liva- Camp Principal
Liva is a seasoned Waldorf Camp and youth activity leader with a rich 14-year background in organizing projects across Europe and Asia. Currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, she resides with her family comprising a daughter, husband, three dogs, and a cat. Liva is a proud graduate of a Waldorf school and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies from the University of Latvia, alongside advanced Chinese studies in Beijing.

I chose to become a teacher because I adore children and wanted to witness my sons’ growth firsthand. Prior to teaching, I worked as an accountant. I also became a doula and lactation consultant. I also dedicated time to rescuing street cats. I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of the Waldorf education community.

With nearly 20 years of experience working with children in various settings, I am known for my approachable, kind, and caring nature. I enjoy tapping into my inner child and am passionate about witnessing children’s growth, and skill development, and fostering lasting friendships with each child I encounter.

I have cherished my time at WESP camps as both a camper and a counsellor, making it a highlight of my summers. As I contemplate my post-high school studies, pedagogy stands out as one of my top choices. This opportunity to gain more experience working with children and further explore myself in this role aligns perfectly with my aspirations.
I take great joy in creating enjoyable and enriching activities for these wonderful kids during their summer break. I am eager to be part of the magic once again this year!

I’m Jenny Cunningham, a 25-year-old teacher currently educating first graders at a Steiner school in the western region of Ireland. Music has always been a significant part of my life, and in my spare time, I enjoy playing and singing with my sisters and cousins. I am a passionate theatre lover and dedicated teacher at a Waldorf school in Estonia. I enjoy creating plays with my students and frequenting the theatre with them to inspire creativity and imagination. In my free time, I indulge in my love for animals, with three cats, one dog, and horse riding as some of my favorite activities. My admiration for children extends beyond the classroom, as I am a proud mother of two sons, aged 19 and 13, and a nurturing guide for the 25 students in my class.

For the past few years, I have been studying in Denmark and actively engaging in sustainability projects. Additionally, I am involved in working with children of Ukrainian refugees in collaboration with the Danish Red Cross. In my free time, I enjoy reading books, rock climbing, and playing chess (a skill I acquired at WESP). I am currently planning to take a gap year to pursue becoming a snowboard instructor and volunteer before embarking on my studies in aerospace engineering in Germany.

Hello, I’m Alicja, a painter and art teacher who seeks harmony in nature, meditation, and the creative process on canvas. I find joy in discovering the unknown and unseen. Collaborating with children, I delve into exploring the mysteries and beauty of nature, harmony, and art.

Hello, I’m Kristofers! If you’re a returning participant, you might remember me as the tall blonde guy with the small kids. If we haven’t met yet, it’s great to meet you. I’m in my final year of studying communications at university and a proud graduate of ĀBVS. I have a background in theatre and have been involved in several plays. Traveling is a passion of mine, and I love learning about the world. While I’m very social, I also pride myself on being a good listener. Directing a short film was a rewarding experience, and my goal is to pursue a career in directing. However, my ultimate aspiration is to be the best counsellor at WESP! The children at WESP inspire me every year, and I am committed to giving them an amazing, friendship-filled summer.

I’m Madeleine, a 22-year-old Waldorf graduate with a passion for nature and working with children and young people. Currently, I’m in my third semester studying social work in southern Germany. In addition to my studies, I play football and have a love for travelling, which allows me to explore new countries and cultures. I also enjoy playing the violin and listening to great music.

Ulla is a Waldorf graduate. She was a class teacher at Adazi Free Waldorf School. Ulla has three wonderful daughters that she spends all her free time with. Going on hikes, travelling, taking photos and dancing are things she loves to do the most.

Anastasija Puzankova, Latvian by birth spent half of her life in China, creative, self-motivated, responsible and caring, passionate about exploring the world with its limitless possibilities, and eager to inspire others to pursue a positive and inquisitive attitude to life.

I am a mother of three, a wife, and a Waldorf school nurse in Latvia, as well as a midwife in a birth hospital. I have a deep love for fields and study Anthroposophy in my spare time. My connection to Waldorf education runs deep, having completed both Waldorf kindergarten and high school. It is an integral part of my life.

At the age of four, I told my parents that I want to be a musician. I guess I should thank them for believing in the little four-year-old’s big dream. Since then, music has been a great part of my life. On a daily basis, I work in the Ādaži Free Waldorf School as a music teacher, in the women’s mixed choir and lead the senior ensemble.
